105.3 The Buzz Concert Contest
Contest Rules
These contest rules are specific to the above contest conducted by Entercom Wichita, LLC d/b/a KFBZ ( the “Station”). Except to the extent specifically set forth below with respect to this specific contest, the Station’s general contest rules apply to this contest as well. A copy of these specific contest rules and the Station’s general contest rules are available at the Station’s studio at 2120 N. Woodlawn, Suite 352, Wichita, KS, 67208, during regular business hours and on the contest page on the Station’s website at 1053thebuzz.com. To the extent that the general contest rules differ from these rules, these rules will govern and control with respect to this Contest.
1. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
2. There are two ways to enter this contest:
(a) Weekdays (excluding holidays) between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm from August 18, 2008, through August 22, 2008, listen for any song by any of the following artists:
1) Kelly Clarkson
2) Carrie Underwood
3) Daughtry
4) Jordin Sparks
5) David Cook
Immediately after the song starts playing (must be a full song aired on Station, not a song clip or hook or a portion of a song used in an intro, promotional announcement or advertisement that airs), the 10th caller received at the Station on its contest line at (316) 436-1053 will win one of the qualifying prizes described below and shall receive one entry in the grand prize drawing, subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with the contest rules. Only calls received at the preceding phone number are eligible to participate in this contest. WARNING: Online listeners to streamed broadcasts may experience a lag in transmissions due to buffering limitations. Contest Participants should not rely on streamed broadcasts.
(b) From 12:00am on Friday, August 15, 2008 through 11:59pm on August 24, 2008, go to www.1053thebuzz.com, click on the “American Idols Live” link, and fill out the entry form with your name, address, telephone number, and email address. On or about August 25, 2008, Station will randomly select one (1) on-line entrant to win one of the qualifying prizes listed below and one entry into the grand prize drawing, subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these contest rules.
3. On or about August 25, 2008, Station will randomly select one grand prize winner from among all on-air and online qualifiers to win the grand prize, subject to verification
of eligibility and compliance with these contest rules.
4. Odds of becoming a qualifier depend upon the number of calls or online entries received, as applicable. Odds of a qualifier winning the grand prize will be no greater than 1:30.
5. The verified qualifiers in this contest will receive one of the following prizes, each valued at approximately $15 each:
· For Kelly Clarkson song qualifiers: Kelly Clarkson’s c.d. “My December”. A total of 5 of these CDs will be available to win.
· For Carrie Underwood song qualifiers: Carrie Underwood’s c.d. “Some Hearts” or “Carnival Ride”. A total of 5 of these CDs will be available to win.
· For Daughtry song qualifiers: Daughtry’s c.d. “Daughtry”. A total of 7 of these CDs will be available to win.
· For Jordin Sparks song qualifiers: Jordin Sparks’ c.d. “Jordin Sparks”. A total of 5 of these CDs will be available to win.
· For David Cook qualifiers: One of the above c.d.’s (David Cook’s c.d. not yet released).
· For the online qualifier: Their choice of one of the above c.d.’s. A total of 1 of these CDs will be available to win
6. On or about August 25th, Station will draw one Grand Prize winner from all qualifiers. Grand Prize winner receives (approximately value of $400.00):
· Four tickets to the American Idols concert at 7:00pm on August 30, 2008, at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, MO.
· Four before-show meet-n-greet passes allowing winners to meet certain American Idol performers. Performers attending the meet-n-greet subject to availability.
· One night hotel accommodations at Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City on the night of August 30, 2008. (Double occupancy - room only - no incidental expenses, taxes or gratuities included. Credit card may be required to check-in.).
While part of this prize is the meet and greet with certain artists, the meet and greet with the artists is contingent upon the artists appearing for the meet and greet, which is beyond the Station’s control. Station is not responsible if Grand Prize Winner and guest are unable to meet artists if the artists determine this is not allowable for any reason or fails to appear. In the event of illness, act of god, scheduling conflict or any other reason, Station is not responsible for this portion of the prize, which has no monetary value, and no alternate prize will be awarded and the meet and greet will not be rescheduled.
7. The above prizes are subject to additional restrictions as set forth in the Station’s General Contest Rules (available at www.1053thebuzz.com.)
